25 Months - October 2006
October 24 - October 30, 2006
(2 year, 8 weeks)
This week was a bye week.
October 17 - October 23, 2006
(2 year, 7 weeks)
I am not ready to give up my afternoon
nap. I really tried yesterday by not taking one and I paid dearly for
it later. C-r-a-n-k-y, c-r-a-n-k-y, c-r-a-n-k-y...and Cranky was my
name-o (sing to the tune of B-i-n-g-o).
At school we have a bunny named Gemini in
class. I have decided that all bunnies should be named Gemini. I
went shopping with Mommy and we found Gemini Bunny crackers at the store.
Of course, we had to buy them.
I went to Didier Farms with Sammy, Aidan,
and Ian today. Most of the entertainment was closed but we still had a
really fun time. We got to see animals (goats, chickens, alpacas, and
Gemini Bunnies). We even saw a baby cow going poop - that was a huge
highlight. Before we left we got to pick out our own apples as a
snack! I had a fugi.
This picture was taken for Daddy's
birthday. He really liked it a lot.

Dancing Dress
October 10 - October 16, 2006
(2 year, 6 weeks)
I have figured out how to win my parent's
hearts, not that I don't have them already. See it works like this.
When Mommy came home the other day after running errands I ran to the door,
threw myself into her arms, and said with a smile "Oh Mommy, I am SO happy
to see you!!" I then gave her a huge huge hug. I then proceeded
to tell her I love her. After that I am pretty sure that I saw a few
tears welling up in her eyes. I did the same thing to Daddy when he
came home from work last night too. :-)
I am starting to really play more with my
friends. Yesterday, I went to Cassie's house (a girl from school) to
play and have lunch. At first I was a little shy but then I realized
how fun it was at Cassie's. She is really nice. We followed each
other around and gave toys to one another. We also had watermelon for
lunch (which is a huge deal lately).
Last weekend we went to a Sukkot
celebration. I got to play the tambourine while Ms. Nancy played the
guitar and sang. I also got to see Cassie and Daniel and play on the
playground.

Latest Food Obsession: Watermelon and

October 3 - October 9, 2006
(2 year, 5 weeks)
I am getting to be quite the Ms. Bossy
Pants. I am growing ever more independent while being VERY demanding -
"No! Rachel do it!" seems to be my latest mantra. I also like
telling people what to do and where to go. "Daddy go downstairs on
couch watch TV" was my most recent, and rather lengthy order while I was
taking my bath.
I am understanding concepts such as both
(both grapes and green beans), first (chocolate milk first), next (put on
shoes and then go outside), etc. I also have the memory of an elephant
and remember whatever it was that I was told we'd do after nap or the next
day because it is the very first thing I mention upon waking.
When I am not sure what something is I say
"hmmm." For example, when Mommy points to something in one of my books
and asks "what's that?" and I don't know my response is "hmmm." It
comes in handy when I need further explanation on a variety of things.
