49 Months - October 2008

October 28 - November 3, 2008
(4 years 13 weeks)

A spooky and fun filled week was had by all especially me!  I got to draw my own pumpkin face on my pumpkin (Daddy carved it - see below), I had a terrific time at my school's Halloween party, and I got to go trick or treating and celebrate Halloween at my house with my friends at our traditional Halloween party.  I can't get enough of this candy thing.  Unfortunately, Mommy and Daddy are rationing the candy.  Which means that I have to "earn" a piece by staying in my seat during dinner or similar sort of task.  I sort of feel like Wilson.

I am enjoying what Mommy calls our last warm weather hoorah.  She claims that it's going to get cold later this week so we're enjoying as much outdoor time as possible.  We went to the botanic gardens and I was a little explorer.  I found all sorts of interesting paths off the main paved paths to explore with Ian.  I also found a beautiful location or two to pose for pictures.  Did somebody say ham?

October 21 - October 27, 2008
(4 years 12 weeks)

The Halloween celebrations started early this year with Hallowfest at the Botanic Gardens.  I went with my friends Cassie and Daniel.  It was really fun and we got to plant and eye ball plant!

I've had a touch of the coughy cough this week as I like to refer to my mild illness.  I am feeling much better but as you might guess I have a little cough still.  On Wednesday, after ballet and a spooky lunch I wound up falling asleep at school.  That sort of tipped everyone off to the fact that I might have a bug of some sort.  I guess it was only a matter of time.  C'est la vie.

Now enough about this week I have some catching up to do to fill everyone in on what's being going on for the past month or so.

"Pirate Princess & Glamorous Witch"

October 14 - October 20, 2008
(4 years 11 weeks)

I LOVE ballet!  I LOVE my teacher.  I LOVE dressing up for ballet.  And I LOVE to practicing my dancing at home.  Class is serious stuff and off limits to the mommies but MY mommy is sneaky and she was able to capture a picture of me in action.  Aren't I cute?!  (and modest too?)

This week was full of fun.  I got to spend a lot of time with Mommy as I didn't have school for two days this week.  I also went to the theater with Mommy, Gabi, and her Mommy.  We saw "If you Take a Mouse to School."  It was really funny.  After the performance I got to meet Mouse and Boy.  They were very nice.  We also ate at a restaurant in the city where I was able to see the Flintstones for the first time.  Cartoons aren't what they used to be.  There weren't ANY princesses in Bedrock!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

"Sneak Peek"

October 7 - October 13, 2008
(4 years 10 weeks)

Ah another WONDERFUL weekend in Door County.  I didn't want to leave.  I even told Mommy and Daddy that I wanted to stay.  I told them I love Door County and they said "what about school?"  And I said that I love Door County more.  "Friends?"  More.  "Princesses?"  More.  And so on.  This conversation went on for some time and continued whenever I'd ask Mommy to come up with something else for me to compare Door County to.

So you're probably asking yourself what IS so great about Door County?  Well let me tell you.  I LOVE the stars.  I LOVE campfires.  I REALLY LOVE s'mores (we made them this time - Mommy is a dessert genius!)  Although in her modest way gives total credit to the girl scouts.  I LOVE all the outside stuff that we do.  This weekend was filled with Pumpkin Festivals, rides, caramel apple bowls with sprinkles!, lots of colorful leaves, pedal go carts at the Apple Orchard, Ferries, Cliffs, and a lot more excitement.  What's not to love.

"Pumpkin Fest Potty Break"

September 30 - October 6, 2008
(4 years 9 week)

As always, another busy week jam packed with all sorts of activities and events.  If being four has this much to offer, I can't imagine what is in store for five!  But seriously, Ian and I took secret photos for Daddy's birthday.  I will be able to keep the secret and Ian doesn't talk well enough to blab so Mommy is confident that it will remain a secret until the big birthday unveiling.  Because I am now a "Four girl", as I like to refer to myself as, Mommy asked for MY opinion when selecting the "special" photos for Daddy.  "Four girls" get to make a lot of decisions and do more things than girls who are only three.

I also got to go to the dentist.  I got a new Belle toothbrush (she's my favorite and the dentist knows it).  I also got a fluoride treatment.  You can't brush your teeth the day that you get it.  In case you were wondering.

Le Shana Tova!  Happy New Year!
