Next Week
Month 7
January 25 - February 21, 2007
February 15 - February 21, 2007
(34 weeks old)
Tooth #2 arrived on Tuesday, February 13.
My first tooth is sticking up fairly high now. Both of them are really
sharp! I like to bite Mommy on the chin and knuckle but I don't think
she's going tolerate that for much longer.
I started crawling on Friday, February 16
- well backwards anyway. Mommy will put a toy out in front of me and I
skooch backwards rather than forwards. This only gets me further away
from what I desire which is a little frustrating. I think I'll figure
out how to really crawl soon.
Mommy set out a few Gerber stars on my
tray the other day. I was able to pick them up and I tried
unsuccessfully to put one in my mouth. Mommy gave me one to try.
I didn't seem too interested at least not yet.

(33 weeks old)
I am independently sitting for much longer
periods of time. I still topple over occasionally, hence the boppy in
the picture, but overall I am getting pretty good control. I can even
pull myself back up when I am reclined slightly.
I am starting to get into the crawl
position. I am pushing way up on my arms and I can bring my one knee
up into a bent position but my bottom half remains on the floor.
I am (jinxing myself here) sleeping
through the night! This time appears to be the real deal. I am
going to bed between 7:30 and 8:15 and I am sleeping until about 7:30 in the
morning. I am also taking two day time naps.
The other day I turned to Mommy and said
"Hi" as clear as a bell. Daddy was there too but he is not as
convinced as Mommy that I really spoke. But a word I am starting to
use is the sign for "eat." Mommy uses it with me every time I eat and
I've made the sign a few times to her. Again, Daddy's not convinced -
he thinks I am putting my hand in my mouth.

Bring on the Meat!"

(32 weeks old)
I had my first modeling gig
today for
Doodledoodesigns.com. Seeing as I am so cute I got to model a
McCutie T. I spent the past few days working on my Zoolander looks and
when it comes down to it I think it paid off. Hopefully the Doodledoo
Design folks will be happy too! I got to keep the t-shirt as payment
and I also got another shirt "What happens in playgroup stays in playgroup."
I can't wait to wear it to school next week.
Which leads me to school.
I started my first class with Mommy. There are 7 other babies and most
of them are girls - lucky me. We're all about the same age. The
first day was a little slow but I had fun.
I know you're all on the edge
of your seats wondering about my weight. Well....(drum roll)...15 lbs.
14 oz. Mommy was excited until my pediatrician told her that it was
good but not that good considering that I am a month older. But no
worries things remain steady as she goes until my 9 month appointment.
I was a bit excited when my doctor mentioned that I could start eating real
table food next month.

"Mr. McCutie!"

Pictures from Week 31
January 25 - January 31, 2007
(31 weeks old)
I got my first tooth (bottom right) on
Saturday, January 20. The days of gnawing on Mommy's knuckles are over
as this small protrusion is mighty sharp according to her. I've been
fine the past few days but I started grabbing at my mouth again so maybe
tooth #2 is on its way.
The little lady next to me is Aubrey.
She's a few months younger than me and awfully cute! I was sort of
interested in her until I discovered the big container of green grapes that
her older brother was eating. Sadly, I didn't have any of the grapes
but not from a lack of trying. During this outing I also got up close
and personal with an orange Boobah - strange yet intriguing. And
interestingly enough there was a maroon colored one at the play date I
attended today.
I can sit independently for a fair bit of
time as long as I have something to keep my interest.
On Monday I go in for my weight check.
According to the milk jug scale at the Children's Museum I weigh about 16
lbs. Stay tuned...

"Uh...we didn't do it...really!"
New
Foods: Corn and Squash (YUM).
Hear me laugh
