My friend Olivia got this ball pit for me
for my first birthday and it has provided hours, weeks, and months of
enjoyment for Rachel and I. We play in it EVERY day. If we're
not having a "party" where we throw all of the balls out of the pit, then we
are rolling around inside, or reading inside of it. Lately we like to
pull the whole thing into the middle of my room and run around it.
Rachel taught Mommy a movement song from school and we (Mommy and Rachel)
sing it as we run around the ball pit. Sometimes Mommy runs around
with us and we all laugh.
I finally like reading books. I have
two favorites - The Big Truck book (which I guess was one of Rachel's
favorites too) and Moo, Baa, La La La. I will sit for extended amounts
of time and look at my books saying "Vroom Vroom" or "Doggie" respectively
as I point at the pictures. Mommy finds it refreshing that she can now
read to me and finish the story without me throwing the book or trying to
eat it.

We took a road trip to see Ma - just
Rachel, Mommy and I. We got a new Wonder Pets DVD which made the trip
very exciting. I also have a new fascination with Elmo and I laugh at
parts of the video when I watch it.
One of the days we went to the Children's
Museum and once I saw the fire truck (below) I was smitten. I ventured
to a few of the other exhibits for a brief moment but found myself always
returning to the truck. They also has a real ambulance in the museum
which I got super excited about. I had to climb in and out of it a
bunch of times. I think I set a new world's record for saying vroom
vroom repeatedly in one day.

Happy 92 Birthday Grandma Gigi! We
celebrated Grandma Gigi's birthday with a brunch at Allgauers. Mommy
took this picture of me as I was shoveling as much french toast as would fit
into my cheeks. With the way that I sometimes like to shovel and hoard
you would think that it was the first time I had ever eaten food. I
don't do it with everything but I have been know to put a hand full of
goldfish in my mouth without problems.
I really enjoy walking. I wonder why
I took so long to do it. I can't hardly stand to be held or carried
anywhere and I will squirm like crazy until I am put on the ground. I
like my new found freedom and I don't listen too well when told to stop or
come back. I just want to go, go, go and as fast as I can!
You can't catch me I'm - the gingerbread man (oops strike that)...Ian!

"Need more room"

Happy Halloween. I dressed as Tigger
this year. I really like wearing the Tigger head. I laugh when I
see myself and it's sort of like a nice warm hat. Mommy and Daddy
realized that I do know some body parts thanks to my tigger costume.
When asked where Tigger's nose, eyes, and mouth are I can correctly point to
the right area!
I think the best part about Halloween was
the candy bowl. Not that I actually had any candy from the bowl.
I just liked the fact that it was huge and within my reach. I did try
to sneak anything I could - wrapper and all and put it into my mouth.
Feel confident neighborhood trick or treaters - Mommy took all drooled candy
away from me and it did not return to the bowl.
