Month 17 - December 2007

December 20 - December 26, 2007
(1  Year 26 weeks old)

I must have been a good boy this year because Santa stopped by my house and Ma's house too.  I got a bunch of really fun toys for Christmas but my favorite is a shake and go police car.  On Christmas Eve, we went to Justine's house and I had a great time pushing Bob the Builder trucks and police cars all around the place.  I also feasted on crackers - yep that's right my Christmas Eve dinner consisted of a variety of crackers and juice.  This was by choice - my choice for those of you who might be wondering what type of parents I must have.

December 13 - December 19, 2007
(1  Year 25 weeks old)

I got a little cough this week.  I don't have any other symptoms but my cough sounds horrible.  It's not slowing me down at all but Mommy's been keeping me home just in case.  Especially since we have a trip coming up next week to Ma's house.

Mommy's so glad that she had my picture taken pre-haircut as my adorable curls only exist immediately after my bath.  They somehow disappear the moment I take a nap or put on my winter hat - which lately is very often as it is very cold out.  She misses them very much but says that I now look like a big boy.

We got a lot of snow and I was able to go out and play in it with Mommy and Daddy.  I especially like wearing my Lightening McQueen boots - but I am not too sure about snow pants.

December 6 - December 12, 2007
(1  Year 24 weeks old)

We had my playgroup's holiday party this week and our family Hanukkah dinner too.  Lots of festivities.  And a lot of fun gifts too.  I got this really cool fire truck from Sydney & Sylar (playgroup) and a cool car garage from Grama Gigi.  I have a bunch of vroom vrooms but I am always thrilled to receive more.  Vroom Vroom is at the top of my vocabulary list.

I had my very first hair cut on Saturday, December 8.  I sat in the race car chair for only a few minutes before I cried so hysterically that Mommy had to hold me on her lap so Sandra could finish cutting.

November 29 - December 5, 2007
(1  Year 23 weeks old)

Mommy, Rachel and I went to a Hanukkah concert while Daddy went to the Bears game.  It was a lot of fun.  Rachel was spinning around like a dreidel for one of the songs and it was fun to watch her.  But what I really like is watch real dreidels, especially when they start to wobble and fall.  I think it's hilarious to watch them and I laughed hysterically one evening after dinner as Mommy kept spinning them.

Happy Thanksgiving!  I didn't eat any turkey but I loved the sweet potatoes and bread.  I don't know what I'd do without carbs.  They make up the majority of my diet.  I am sort of a finicky eater.  I like a variety of items but it's sort of a guessing game as to when and where I will eat them - much to my parent's frustration.

We went and got holiday pictures taken for Daddy and the family as well as for our holiday cards.  Pa went with us (to help Mommy so she doesn't buy the entire store) and had lunch with us afterwards.  I like the picture below best - it shows my adventurous side.

November 22 - November 28, 2007
(1  Year 22 weeks old)

I spent a cold day at the botanical gardens but stayed nice and warm in the greenhouses and while viewing the winter wonderland train exhibit.  I LOVE trains.  I was in heaven watching them - above me, below me, next to me!  Trains everywhere "woo woo!"

I am starting to count.  I'm not saying clearly identifiable numbers but I am making the same sounds consistently with Mommy as she counts while we walk up the stairs.  She thinks that 3 sounds pretty close to Three and 8 sounds similar to eight.

Mommy and Daddy are convinced that when I figure out pronunciation I will skip saying single words and go right to sentences.  Similar to how I went from just walking to running in a matter of weeks.
