Month 19 - February 2008

February 14 - February 20, 2008
(1  Year 34 weeks old)

Rachel and I donned matching Valentine's shirts and had a special valentine portrait taken for Daddy for Valentine's Day.  I'm putting all modesty aside when I say that it's a really cute picture.  Many of you were sent the photo as a valentine.  I hope that you enjoy!

This week marked the beginning of the birthday season.  My friend Ben turned two and my other friend Shaun turned one.  Both parties we so much fun and I had cake.  Unlike Rachel, I eat ALL the cake.  I take after Mommy on the cake front.  Oh and I almost forgot, Wilson had a birthday too!  He's six this year.  We made special carrot peanut butter cupcakes for him - which he devoured.

"Nothing but thumb"

February 7 - February 13, 2008

Daddy cut my hair.  Mommy was making dinner and Daddy was giving me a bath.  After the bath out came the scissors and whammo I had a new hair cut.  Daddy's proud of his coiffure abilities but Pa on the other hand exclaimed to Mommy, "What did you do to his hair?!" when he saw me.  I am not sure how I should take that I mean when it's curly it's not so bad.  And come on I am pretty darn cute - even a haircut can't touch that.

I started gymnastics this week.  I wasn't too sure about it at first but as the hour wore on I started getting more involved and by the end of the class I climbed up the angled ladder (my first try) like I had been doing it for months.  I think there might be something sinister about the older gymnast instructor.

I really enjoy painting at the easel.  I also like doing watercolors too.  It's lucky that I can still do either after taking a tumble down the stairs like I did.  Amazingly though I didn't even get a bruise.  I was very lucky.  We have been getting a lot of snow lately.  I like to walk with Mommy in the snow while she says "crunch crunch crunch" as we walk.  I will stop and stomp my feet when she says this sometimes too.  One of my favorite songs in the whole world is "Old Joe" and I like to say the "whoa Joe" part when Mommy tips us backwards.  Rachel likes Old Joe too and sometimes both of us sit on Mommy's lap while she does the song with us.

I am a puzzle maniac!  I am very good at putting the pieces in the right spots even when doing a puzzle for the first time.  Mommy took Rachel and I to the library and they have many puzzles there.  I was able to complete three different puzzles with varying degrees of difficulty with ease  This always serves as good practice for the skills necessary in my daytime job as a surgeon.

"Dr. Pogany - Surgeon Extraordinaire"

New Word:  Wow!  Used often when really excited about sometime such as Hot Wheels Waffles.  Yes, Mommy is a marketers dream - "...has car must buy..."  (said in her best zombie-like voice).
