Month 23 - June 2008

June 19 - July 25, 2008
(1 year 51 weeks old)

Did we celebrate my 2nd Birthday?  Yes, we did!  I had a party at my house on my actual birthday with 28 friends.  We got lucky that the sun came out because an hour and a half before my party it was storming like mad .  Bob the Builder was the theme (you can see Bob and Muck on my cake).  Zilah provided musical entertainment and bubbles.  She did all my favorite songs - old Joe, bubble gum, and the shake shake song.  We had a tattoo parlor and everyone got tattoos.  We also played in the sand - it was great.  I got a lot of very nice gifts and I was extremely tired when it was all over.  Now I can say that I am two!

I went for my wellness visit on Wednesday and I am in the 40th percentile for height (33 3/4 inches).  Amazing I know.  I am also WAY under all of the percentiles for weight.  I am a whopping 22.5 lbs.  Mommy thinks that I must have lost quite a few lbs. when I was ill last week.  Regardless, I am back on the high fat diet and I've got 3 months to bulk up - or else!  Ok, I am not sure if there is an or else but it seemed like a good way to end the sentence.

June 12 - June 18, 2008
(1  Year 50 weeks old)

We went to Oakville, Ontario to celebrate Cathy's 100th birthday.  I had a great time playing with my cousins Stephen and Larry.  Unbeknownst to everyone I was sick.  Mommy and Daddy assumed that I was just being a picky eater all weekend.  No one suspected a thing until I threw up at Grandma's house (we stopped on the way home) and they discovered that I had a fever.  By the time we got back to Chicago it was up to 103.5 degrees and that was with Tylenol.  I was one sick little guy.  I missed the first day of camp and I got to go to the doctor.  It never fails, Rachel and I always get sick the week before a wellness visit.  Now I have to focus on getting better so I'll be set for my big party on Sunday!

June 5 - June 11, 2008
(1  Year 49 weeks old)

I like being a "cool guy" whether it be by sunglasses, McQueen pjs, or any number of other items from my closet.  I can be persuaded to wear just about anything if "cool guy" is added to the description.  "How about this cool guy shirt today?"  The answer "yeah, yeah, cool guy."

We had a busy week seeing friends.  One of my Caroline friends (I have two) had a birthday which was really fun.  Zilah sang at her party (she's coming to mine too).  Many of my friends were there.  I also met a new cute girl.  Next, we went to Lambs Farm and saw a bunch of Nays, Cows, and other animals.  I really liked feeding the ducks and this crazy goat.  The best part was the train ride followed by the carousel.  I got to ride on my very own horse next to Rachel's.  Lastly, I got to see Caroline for lunch alone well with the Mommies and Rachel of course.  It was a chaperoned date of sorts.

(1  Year 48 weeks old)

I went to Rachel's school to celebrate her 4th birthday (but it's not really her birthday yet).  I love going to her classroom.  I know where all of the cars, trucks, and tractor are kept.  The best part is that Rachel's teachers let me play with the toys (they also tell me that I am cute).  Today, was great.  I got to play along with the other kids and have cake.  I can't wait until I get to go to the blue school.

I got my hair cut (again).  It's crazy how fast it grows.  The ladies love my hair - young or old - I am feeling the love.  Mommy thinks that it's going to turn blonde.  We shall see.  Note: this picture is pre-haircut.  Oh, I almost forgot to share that I didn't sit on Mommy's lap this time.  I still cried but I sat in my very own car while the lady sniped.  I also had a lollipop.
