November 23 - November 29, 2004

I got to celebrate my first Thanksgiving with family and friends.  It was an International holiday of sorts.  We had a surprise guest from out of town visit who was on his way back from China.  (He accidentally took our camera home hence the lack of picture My Journal this week - at least that is the excuse Mommy is using).  Also, my Great Grandmother just got back from a trip to Paris and brought back some lovely gifts from both she and our Parisian family members.  I am happy to report that la vache fait meuhh.

November 16 - November 22, 2004
(11 Weeks)

Daddy seems to think that I will be walking early by the way I will stand on his lap and push off with my feet.  Mommy likes to call me the Kicky Kicker  - especially when I keep kicking my right sock off.

I really like these hands of mine, that is when I can actually find them.  Mommy hung the Zebra Cow links on my car seat handle.  I find them extremely entertaining to play with while Mommy makes dinner.  I am also crunching the crunchy part of Inchworm and I like to bat "Friend" around too.  I get very upset though when "Friend" starts invading my personal space.

I find Wilson interesting.  Sometimes I smile at his big head. 

November 9 - November 15, 2004
(10 Weeks)

Today I celebrated my 10th week by wearing my pretty pink vest!  Pinar's grandma, who lives in Turkey knit the vest and Pinar brought it all the way back from Turkey just for me! 

I am smiling all the time now and Mommy thinks that I even sort of laugh like while she plays "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" with me. 

I discovered that I have hands!  It's pretty cool, I can put them together and in my mouth!  Toys that I can take with me everywhere!  Mommy told me that I have feet too but I have my doubts.

I got to go out to dinner with Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Yusuf and (soon to be Aunt) Jennifer on Saturday.  They are engaged to be married next year and I am so excited for them!  Everyone ordered off the menu and I was stuck eating breast milk once again.

November 2 - November 8, 2004
(9 Weeks)

NIne weeks...where does the time go?  I had my two month wellness visit last night.  Hard to believe that I am 23 inches long and weigh 9 lbs. 8 oz.!  I was a pretty good sport when it came to getting my first vaccines.  I only cried when I got the shots but I left the doctors office quietly. 

This week I started sleeping between 6 and 7 hours each night!  Mommy and Daddy are thrilled - and somewhat more rested!  I am also having more engaging playtime.  I smile at the lights and music on my Kick and Play bouncer and I enjoy playing with Friend and Inchworm.

On Friday I had my first luncheon experience at a restaurant with Aunt Wildy.  I slept most of the time but I did overhear people commenting on how adorable I am...hopefully I don't start letting these comments go to my head.
