51 Months - December 2008

December 23 - December 29, 2008
(4 years 21 weeks)

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas!  It's a crazy dual holiday year.  And it looks like I've been good this year because Santa left me a really cool doll house with ALL the furniture, a Pinky Pie My Little Pony, a Barbie DVD, and Princess stuff just to name a few.  You see I decided to leave him wine this year with his cookies.  I figured that all the other children would be leaving him milk and he needed a change.  Clearly he likes wine!  I'll be sure to leave him some next year too.  Although, Mommy makes really great cookie (I helped of course) so that probably helped my cause as well.  But I think it was the wine that sealed the deal.

Today it is almost 60 degrees outside and all of our snow has melted.  We had a ton of if.  We built a snowman and a Thomas the train on Christmas Eve when we really got dumped on snow-wise.  When I woke up this morning I looked out my window and told Mommy that the snow looked like a picture frame for the grass since we had a pile of it going all of the way around the front yard.

Favorite Game:  Zingo (thanks grama Gigi)

December 16 - December 22, 2008
(4 years 20 weeks)

We went to the mall with my friends Ellie and Anson to see Santa before school.  It was really fun.  Santa was so nice.  I told him that I liked princesses, Barbie and My Little Ponies.  Santa has hair on his face.  Mommy calls it a beard but I say it's just hair.  Ian didn't cry at all when he saw Santa.  His friend Ben did though but I don't know why because Santa was so nice.

We had our holiday party at school and Mommy came.  She was in charge of the snowball tossing game.  I helped her and we gave all of the children play doh and snowman stickers.  It was a good thing that our party was on Thursday because on Friday we had a snow day and we got a LOT of snow.  Ellie came over and we had a snow day play date.  Mommy and I also spent a bunch of time on the computer in the afternoon doing the Elf Yourself.  The best one is with Ian, Rachel, Gabi, Ronan and Wilson.

December 9 - December 15, 2008
(4 years 19 weeks)

This week was ballet observation week.  Pa, Mommy, and Ian came to see me dance.  I did my very best.  I love ballet and I love my teacher.  Mommy has been recording all of the various Nutcracker ballets that have been on tv and I love to watch them.  My favorite was the one by the San Francisco Ballet.  The costumes were so beautiful.  I when the ladybugs and butterflies, the Hot Chocolate, and the Sugar Plum Fairy danced.  When I grow up I want to dance in the Nutcracker.

I also went to the city this weekend with my friend Gabi to a Gingerbread workshop where we made gingerbread houses.  My house is beautiful to say the least.  After we made our houses, we listened to the story of Hansel and Gretel and had a snack.  Then we pretended that we were walking through the forest and we had to freeze from the witch.  I moved at one point and she tried to turn me into a gumdrop.  I got scared and cried.  Aside from that, it was great!

This is a dual picture week since I couldn't decide between the two.

December 2 - December 8, 2008
(4 years 18 weeks)

I love snow!  I love snow!  IIIII llovvvve snnnoooowww (think jingle bells tune).  Today was an especially fun day.  Mommy, Daddy, Ian and I went out to play in the snow.  We even had a snowball fight.  Mommy got Daddy more than he got her.  It was funny.  Ian got out his mower and was pushing it on the areas where the grass was showing from our rolling of the snow.  He's so funny.

Gabi, the Mommies, and I went to see Hansel and Gretel at the theater.  I enjoyed it very much.  Ralph from Ralph's World did the music and I have been singing the "That's what I want for Christmas" song ever since.  I wish that I could have eaten some of the frosting from the Ginger Bread house.  We got to meet the actors after the show and they signed their names (Gretel, Naal the Rat, Hansel, etc.) in the Hansel and Gretel book.  They also ask us how we liked the show and I told them that I liked it a lot.
