Month 2
August 24 - September 20, 2006

September 14 - September 20, 2006
(12 weeks old)

I am babbling.  I have incoherent conversations with Mommy.  I make a noise and she repeats it to my pleasure.  I also think it's really funny when she Moos.

I've been enjoying my hands lately.  I like to pat my head or face and I am finally getting more consistent about finding my thumb.  It's awfully hard to get it into my mouth every time but I keep trying.  I am starting to prefer my left thumb just like Rachel.  I wonder if it's hereditary?

"All boy!"

Sleeping Record:  9/13 - 11:00 p.m. until 6:50 a.m.!

September 7 - September 13, 2006
(11 weeks old)

I love smiling and I am starting to find things funny.  I think Mommy is really funny.  She makes silly faces at me and tickles me.  She also plays this game called "Peek-a-boo" which I particularly enjoy.

I am what Daddy and Mommy consider sleeping through the night - hooray (for them).  I go down about 10:30 p.m. and sleep until about 5:15/30 a.m.  However, the past two days I have not been a good afternoon napper at all.  Not giving Mommy an inch on that one.

I am lifting my head much better although sometimes it still gets the best of me and swings out of control until it careens into Mommy's face/jaw.  Not too fun for either of us.

"Cute!"

Favorite Activity:  Cuddling.

August 31 - September 6, 2006
(10 weeks old)

I had my two month wellness visit.  I was weighed, measured, and poked.  I didn't care for the poking part at all and cried pretty hard after my four shots.  Yes, you read that correctly - four.  Two in each thigh - OUCH!  Well, I know you're probably on pins and needles waiting for the 2 month stats so here they are:

Weight: 12 lbs. 4 oz.
Length:  23 1/4 inches

Based on my weight I get the full dose of infant Tylenol (.8).  Mommy thought for sure that that was incorrect and looked back on Rachel's sheets.  To her surprise I weigh almost as much as she did at 6 months!  Which is where the Tylenol confusion came from - she didn't get the full dose for 4 months after me!  I have been really sleepy the past two days - post shot.

"Tucked in"

Catch up on Week 9
I was a bit late in getting that one live so catch up and learn about my first smile.

August 24 - August 30, 2006
(9 weeks old)

I smiled for the first time on Sunday, August 27.  The same day as Rachel's birthday party.  Mommy was so excited.  I have been consistently smiling everyday since.

I am getting much stronger and I am lifting my head much better while I am on my stomach.  I am tolerating tummy time and like my Gymini more each day.  I am starting to swing my arms at the dangling toys and I am kicking the chimes.  It is so much fun!

I went to my first art fair this weekend.  I got to meet Mommy and Daddy's friends the Flinns.  They make beautiful art and love dogs.  I liked them just fine!

"From ear to ear!"

Sleeping Patterns:  Starting to pull 4 - 5 hour stretches at night.
