September 21 - October 25, 2006

October 19- October 25, 2006
(17 weeks old)

On October 15 I turned over from my tummy to my back.  Sadly, nobody actually witnessed my feat. Mommy put me down on my belly in my crib so I could look at myself in the mirror while she changed Rachel's diaper.  When she returned I was sunny side up!  Since then, actually earlier today (Thursday) I turned over twice!  Mommy saw me do it both times.  I turn over on my right side.

Mommy keeps propping me up against pillows so that I can practice sitting - sort of like I am in the picture here.  Anyway, I tend to topple over quite a bit.  I prefer to be stretched out.

I am getting excited about my trip with Mommy and Daddy.

Can you believe that I will be 4 months old on Sunday?!

"Say Cheese..."

Latest Feat:  Pulling out my paci or popper as Rachel now calls it.

October 12- October 18, 2006
(16 weeks old)

I am getting much better head control although I still tend to wobble a bit.  I am also becoming a little mover.  I often wind up waking in a different spot in the crib than when I went to sleep.  I also move down in the bouncy seat and boppy.  I even almost launched myself off of Mommy's lap when I pushed off her stomach with my feet.

I am sleeping consistently thought the night about 9:30/10:00 p.m. until 7:30/8:45 a.m.  Mommy and Daddy are thrilled.

"Ian and Caroline sitting on a lap..."

Latest Feat:  Rolling up onto my left side (but only once).

October 5 - October 11, 2006
(15 weeks old)

And you all thought that Rachel had some serious cheeks when she was a baby.  Ha! I definitely think I can officially claim the title of "Cheeky Cheeker!"

This week has been a big stroller week and Mommy has the seat rigged so that I can now sit up and see where we are going rather than just looking at the sky.  I have even been staying awake during our walks.  Hopefully we'll have many more walking days before it gets too cold.

I am officially laughing - real ha ha ha laughing - not just the little giggles.  I have a ticklish chin and really got going the other day.

I took a bath with Rachel tonight and she helped to wash my feet, legs, and belly.  She didn't even complain while I kicked in the water and mostly kicked her.  However, she did tell me that I have a little penis - What's up with that?!

"And I'll huff, and I'll puff..."

Teething Watch:  I have been drooling lately and really gummed Mommy's finger the other day.
She thinks she felt something hard on my bottom gums.  Maybe I'll be an early teether.

September 28 - October 4, 2006
(14 weeks old)

I am really chatty and I like to LOL as Pa likes to say.  Mommy and I have conversations all the time.  Listen to some of my grunts and coos.

I am starting to move around my crib while I sleep.  Mommy puts me down in one spot and I am often in another when she returns to retrieve me in the morning.

One of my favorite activities lately is kicking.  I like to kick while on the Gymini and in my Kick and Play bouncy seat but most of all I really like kicking in the tub.  I can't wait until I am old enough to go to swimming class.  I should be an expert kicker by that time.

"All smiles"

Eye Color:  Still blue and holding.
Pooping Update:  Not since 9/24

September 21 - September 27, 2006
(13 weeks old)

I am three months old now and I have accomplished so much!  I am sleeping through the night - 9:00/10:00 p.m. until 6:00/8:00 a.m.  Mommy and Daddy are ecstatic!  I am sucking my thumb, although I still really like my paci.  I have also gained a lot of head control.  Hooray for me!

On the downside Mommy thinks that I forgot how to poop.  I didn't go since before Tuesday and then finally on Sunday I got a glycerin suppository as suggested by the doctor.  This however this was only after I had two full days of prune juice attempts with no success.  Long story short - I pooped.

I've been sleeping in my own room for over a week now and on Saturday I got my crib!  It is so nice and comfy.  I love it.  Maybe that is why I am sleeping longer?

"Heads up"

Sleeping Record:  9/24 - 10:00 p.m. until 8:15 a.m.!
