Did somebody turn on the drool faucet?
Because I have a ton of it rolling down my chin and soaking whatever I am
wearing. One might attribute it to teething as I am also gnawing on my
hands and anything else that I can get into my mouth. I suppose it's
not too soon considering that I'll be starting to eat real food soon.
Speaking of food, Mommy was eating earlier
today and as I stared intently at her Dorito she asked if I wanted some and
brought one down near my face. Immediately I opened my mouth thinking
finally a tasty morsel! Unfortunately it was only a trick as she
retracted the chip and informed me I was too little. Not nice Mommy,
not nice.
A little unknown fact...I am extremely
ticklish on my neck.

I am happy to report that my sleep is
getting back on track. The past few nights I have been going down
around 9:00/9:30 p.m. and sleeping until 5:00ish. I then sleep until
7:30/8:30 a.m. Mommy and Daddy seem to be emerging from their sleep
deprivation fog.
I have started soothing myself by sucking
on my bottom lip if I loose my paci rather than my thumb. Mommy saw me
doing it for the first time on our California trip but didn't realize that
it was going to become an ongoing activity. She and Daddy think that
it's funny to watch.
I started rolling up on my side today
(11/10). I even rolled from my tummy to my back tonight for Daddy.
He was so proud.

I have stopped sleeping through the night
to the chagrin of my parents. They are convinced that it is due to any
number of things - time change, slight cold, travel, teething, reflux...the
list goes on and on. Basically I just really enjoy their company and
like sleeping in their nice warm bed rather than my crib with Rachel's baby
doll (she insists that she sleep with me).
My coordination is improving. I am
transferring items. I am also getting much better at putting things in
my mouth. Anything that I can get my hands on be it a toy, blanket,
hands, etc. all wind up being gummed.
I have been chatting up a storm lately and
Mommy was convinced that she heard me say "Hi" the other day. Maybe I
said it and maybe I didn't.

I am a seasoned traveler. On
Thursday, I flew with Mommy to San Francisco to meet up with Daddy who had
been out there for work. I charmed everyone at the airport, and on the
plane for that matter. I was so good - no crying - just smiley, happy,
and occasionally sleepy.
I have 18 wineries under my belt. I
am seasoned wine country expert. I am happy to report that all of the
wineries/tasting rooms that we visited were friendly and open to my
presence. It probably didn't hurt that I was exceptionally cute and
either quiet and smiling or sleeping while we were there. We only had
one instance where some crazy woman wanted to dip my paci (or binky as she
put it) into her wine. We just wrote her off as having one too many.
The best part of my trip was that I got to
spend a lot of time with just Mommy and Daddy without having to share.
It was so much fun. We talked to each other a lot and we laughed a
bunch too. I have much better hand control and now I play with some of
my toys.
Stay tuned for my wine tour photos.
