November 23 - December 20, 2006

December 14- December 20, 2006
(25 weeks old)

This week is all about moving.  I move in the night.  I know that sounds so mysterious and it is.  You see Mommy and Daddy put me to bed with my head facing east and then I sort of rotate like a "spin the bottle" and they discover me with my head pointed west, or south, or even northwest.  I'm not even sure how I am doing it.

I have become a serious escape artist, not that I haven't always been.  But lately I am able to maneuver myself out of any bouncy seat, nearly off the couch, and I am making a serious attempt at the infant seat but I am just not quite there yet.  Just give me time.

I am also going to be crawling soon.  When I lay on my tummy I am lifting my bottom way up in the air and sort of scoot forward.  Once I learn to lift my upper body there will be no stopping me!

"Under the tree"

December 7- December 13, 2006
(24 weeks old)

It has been so cold out and Mommy decided to dress me up as a little bear.  Aside from being exceptionally cute, I was quite toasty and happy with her decision.

We're still struggling with this whole sleep/crying thing.  I have quite a set of lungs and I can keep up with the crying for a solid 45 minutes to an hour without tiring.  Maybe I will be cut out for opera when I grow up.

I tried rice cereal for the first time today.  The jury is still out on whether I really enjoyed it or not.  Check out my photos and come to your own conclusions.

November 30 - December 6, 2006
(23 weeks old)

My doctor thinks that I might not be getting enough restful sleep so Mommy is trying to nap me every 2 hours during the day on a schedule.  I don't tend to take nice long naps like Rachel and with my waking up at night my parents are perplexed.  Mommy is also on the no dairy diet to see if that helps my belly discomfort.  So far not too many changes.

I got to spend a lot of time with Pa and Daddy the past few days as Mommy was really really sick with a crazy high fever.  All I can say is that she had better keep her germs to herself and not send them my way!  I like when Pa comes over because he really gets me laughing.

There is talk that next week I will be trying food for the first time.  Baby Caroline got to try it today and I guess she really liked it so I am not too worried.

We got a Christmas tree on Sunday.  I got to sit in my Bumbo chair and watch as Mommy, Daddy, and Rachel put things on the tree.  I really like looking at the lights. They are so twinkley.

"I dedicate this next one to the ladies..."

November 23 - November 29, 2006
(22 weeks old)

Ooh, I am a little bit late posting for this week seeing how I am supposed to put a new update up tomorrow.  Maybe I will leave up both weeks at the same time as not to deflate my fan's interest and excitement.

I am still waking up frequently at night - 9pm to 2 am again at 5 am and finally around 8.  I think I overheard Mom and Dad talking about letting me cry it out.  We'll see how long that lasts after I wake up Miss Rachel - hee hee.

I got to play in the Intellitainer for the first time this week and it is SO much fun!  I particularly like putting whatever pieces I can get close enough into my mouth.  I am not so interested in the technology side I tend to prefer the gears and hanging toys.
