I went to Sammy's pump it up party and I
was fearless. Upon arrival I immediately went for the big slide.
I climbed up with Rachel and down I went. We switched rooms for the
2nd part of the party and that's when I got so excited! There was a
climbing wall. Mommy and Daddy thought I might be too small to try but
when the man asked, there was no hesitation on my part. Before he let
me climb the man made sure that the bungee wouldn't simply zip me up into
the air - it didn't. I didn't get very high but it was fun to try.
I said my first "bad word" on Monday and
it was Mommy's fault. I know many of you are shocked that Mommy would
even know a bad word. I sure was! Anyway, a crazy driver went
flying down our street and she called him a "Jackass." When she came
around the car to unbuckle me, I gave her my brightest smile and said
"Jackass!" And pleased that I said it so clearly I repeated it again.
Mommy said "No, Ian I said Jacket", quickly trying to cover her tracks.
So I clarified to her that I actually heard "Jackass." She tried
saying the Jacket thing again and then something about gas. I let her
think that I must have heard incorrectly and repeated the Jacket and Gas
words. Now, I'll just wait for a later date to inappropriately use
what I really heard it in a public setting (hee hee).

Mommy and Daddy went to my first school
conference this week. Basically, my teachers think that I am adorable
and love me (how could they not?!). But seriously, I am doing great at
Camp (school). I am polite and a good listener and I am learning a lot
of things. My teachers even took all of the Thomas trains from the
other classrooms so that there would be plenty in my room and I wouldn't be
without one. Not that I am getting any special treatment or anything.
I am a little under the weather this week,
you'd never know it as I don't ever slow down. I was diagnosed with an
ear infection on Friday and then on Tuesday I was running a 103 temp!
And that was after being on antibiotics for 4.5 days. Even with the
fever I was happy to be chasing around the house. I'd say that I'll
bounce back in no time but really my bounce never left.

November 6 - November 12, 2008

I told Mommy "I love you" on Saturday.
She couldn't believe her ears so she said "say that again" and I did.
I got a big kiss and a hug too.
I had at least a 30 minute discussion
about Diesel 10. Diesel 10 scared Thomas and he also scared the
chocolate milk. He is a very terrifying diesel - at least to Thomas
and the chocolate milk.
Speaking of chocolate milk - it's my
Starbucks. I can't officially start my day until I've had my first
glass of chocolate milk. Any given day pretty much starts like this:
Mommy or Daddy: "good morning Ian"
Ian: "chocolate milk"
Mommy or Daddy: "would you like to get out"
Ian: "yes, chocolate milk"
Mommy or Daddy pause for a moment or assist Rachel with something...
Ian: "Turn, go now, get up...chocolate milk"
Everyone goes down stair and Ian gets his chocolate milk.

"It's raining it's pouring!"

I went to the Hallowfest at the Botanic
Gardens. It was a lot of fun. I got to Trick or Treat, see the
Halloween trains, decorate a pumpkin, and plant an eyeball plant. When
we leaving the Creature from the Black Lagoon (herein referred to as "Man")
emerged from the water in the fountain. At first I was curious he came
over and said hello. Then he went back into the water and when he came
out again I decided that he was a little scary. Daddy thought it was
funny so we hung around "Man" a little longer. On the way home I kept
asking about "Man." We had some Daddy Apple (Honeycrisp) at home and
Mommy told me that "Man" went home to eat some apples.
On Monday, it was a beautiful Indian
summer day so we went back to the gardens. As soon as we pulled into
the parking lot I asked about "Man." "Man eat apples?" I asked.
"Man go home?" Mommy assured me that yes, Man did indeed go home and
he was most likely enjoying some apples right this minute. Needless to
say I proceeded to enjoy my visit to the gardens - "Man" free.

I told everyone at "camp" (this is what I
like to call my preschool class) that I was going to be a pumpkin.
Little did I know that Mommy actually had Rachel's old pumpkin costume.
Now I am a pumpkin. I wanted to be Thomas the Tank Engine but alas I
am not nearly tall enough to wear the costume. Sniff. But don't
get me wrong I like pumpkins and I actually don't mind being one.
This week I identified my first letter.
I pulled the letter "P" magnet off of the refrigerator and said "p". I
also picked up the blue chalk and said blue. But I frequently say that
Rachel's eyes are blue and my green train table top is blue so Mommy thinks
that I just got lucky on that one.

"I hope I don't have to wear
that costume next year!"
