Month 31 - February 2009

February 12 - February 18, 2009
(2 years 33 weeks old)

On Thursday, I went to the doctors because I had this terrible cough and I found out that I have wheezy lungs.  I got to have an x-ray and I don't have pneumonia which is good but I have to take some medicine to help me breath better and make my cough go away.  I also found out that I weigh 26 lbs. with clothes on!  That must be some sort of record or something.

We went to Door County for Valentine's Weekend.  We got to see ice being carved and this really fun Denise Fleming art exhibit at the art museum.  There were over 80 painting on display plus there was a fun kid section where we could read books in tents and I got to pull stuffed animals in a wagon.  I got to play with the DC Thomas (which I love) and I got a choo choo box of candy for Valentine's Day from Mommy.  She was MY valentine.

On Monday, got checked out again at the doctor and I still have wheezy lungs AND now I have an ear infection.  This explains why I was SO cranky all weekend.  I just can't get a break.

It's been a fun week of seeing friends for lunches, play dates, and dinners.  I especially like when we go out to eat and I get dessert afterwards - like the giant frosted rice crispy treat that I had after dinner with Caroline.

I like to wear other people's shoes in the house and today Mommy caught me wearing Daddy's slippers.  I can't really manage to pick up my feet.  I just sort of shuffle around old man style.  One day I'll be able to wear shoes this big - just not for many many many years.

I love the snow and I love my Bear hat.  Today I played in the snow with Mommy, Daddy, Rachel, and Wilson.  Daddy was pushing Rachel and I through the snow on my big construction vehicle.  We laughed so hard.  It has wheels but in the deep snow it was more like a sled.  It was so fun.

I received a tool kit for my birthday last year and we finally just opened it.  I especially like that my screwdriver actually works (it has batteries) and I can turn the plastic screws that came with my toy set.  You can see that I am currently using the Philips head.  There is also a button to make it spin the other way too so I can unscrew the screws.  Home Depot toys are so authentic.

I went to a paint your own pottery place this week and I painted a Thomas the Tank Engine for my wall.  It is a masterpiece.  The lady at the painting place was a little uptight about how far I was dipping my paintbrush into the paint but Mommy said I was doing just fine.
